About the team The Naval Industry team is responsible and accountable for the on-time production and delivery of the Thales Naval products within in cost and first-time right. To realize this the Naval Industry team is strongly and closely cooperating with the other departments (e.g. Engineering, Procurement, Product Segments) within Thales Naval. As Thales Naval we foster a strong growth in demand to our products and to secure this growth the Industry organization will be become production line oriented to support the serial production. Within this setup Quality Controllers (QC’s) and Configuration Controllers (CC) are assigned to one or more production lines to support the Production Line by reaching their objectives. 

To lead this growing team of QC’s and CC’s, we are looking for a: 
Manager Quality Control and Configuration Control 
 

About the job

As Manager Quality Control (QC) and Configuration Control (CC) you will lead a team of QC’s and CC’s (approx.. 20FTE), guide them in their development and support them in their performance. You will be responsible for the workload of the team in order to ensure the right support to the production lines. 

In this position you will report to the Manager Quality Industry. 
You will support your manager by setting up, scope and integrate this new position in the organization. Together with the QA’s you will make sure that the support of the QC’s and CC’s in production is efficient and effective. If needed you won’t hesitate to take control and make adjustments. 

With your skills and experience you will lead and coach your team to secure a working environment with a strong focus on safety and quality. 

This position will be the key-driver to transform the Industry organization to an environment which will be competitive, reliable & predictable and agile, driven by close collaboration with internal and external partners to reach maximum customer satisfaction and goals. 

The main tasks and responsibilities are: 

• Manage the workload/capacity balance and human resources with a view to overall efficiency and employee well-being through daily management and appropriate communication. 
• Coach, develop and adapt the skills of your team to match the needs of Industry. 
• Stimulate continuous improvement and innovation in QC and CC processes. 
• Stay in close contact with the APRU managers and other departments regarding Quality and Configuration issues. Analyze and adjust accordingly. 

About You: 

• Completed a Bachelor or Master; 
• Several years of experience in management, preferable in an assembly environment; 
• Proven track record in Configuration management 
• Knowledge PLM system (Windchill) is a must have 
• Pro-active, accurate and solution oriented; 
• Soft/interpersonal skills and ability to coach; 
• Strong communication skills and problem solving capability; 
• Dutch and English mandatory;
