Our client is a top company that makes vaccines and medicines for animals. They've been researching and developing these products for 75 years, focusing on preventing infections in pets and farm animals. They also run the Dutch sales office and are committed to improving animal health worldwide.

Role description
As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role within the Site Engineering department. You’ll be responsible for designing, managing, and executing electrical systems for complex pharmaceutical environments, with a focus on cleanrooms and containment areas. This role offers a blend of hands-on technical work and cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders and external contractors.

Responsibilities

Design and review electrical systems for GMP and biosafety environments
Prepare and assess quotations, technical documentation, and change orders
Support drafting of user requirement specifications for electrical systems
Independently manage mono-disciplinary engineering projects
Ensure proper documentation and archiving throughout the project lifecycle
Coordinate and manage contractors and engineering partners
Ensure compliance with current legislation, standards, and internal guidelines
Participating in multidisciplinary project discussions

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (HBO/HBO+) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
At least 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or food production projects
VCA-VOL certification
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD
Strong understanding of cGMP, biosafety, and containment requirements
Experience working in or with cleanrooms and technical installations
Fluent in Dutch (spoken and written); English is a plus
Organized, hands-on, and team-oriented with strong communication skills
