Senior Mechanical EngineerAre you an experienced mechanical engineer with a passion for high-end shipbuilding? We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a leading yacht builder and contribute to the design, integration and delivery of complex mechanical systems onboard luxury vessels.
Function
In this role, you will work on a wide range of mechanical systems, guiding your team through the engineering process, from 3D modelling to onboard implementation. You support the Senior Project Engineer and collaborate closely with production and suppliers.
- Design and integrate systems such as HVAC, piping, sanitary, firefighting, and equipment foundations
- Check and deliver 3D models, technical drawings, and engineering documentation
- Ensure compliance with classification societies, flag states, and client specifications
- Provide practical support to production and solve technical issues during construction
- Coach junior engineers and align engineering output across disciplines
- Improve technical standards and engineering processes where needed
- Bsc or MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- 5+ years of engineering experience in shipbuilding
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and integration
- Skilled in AutoCAD, Teamcenter, and ideally Cadmatic
- Familiar with system routing, weight estimation, and equipment positioning
- Fluent in English
