Functieomschrijving

We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Regulatory Compliance Manager to ensure that our operations within the petrochemical industry remain fully compliant with all applicable local, national, and international regulations. This critical role will support the business in navigating a complex regulatory environment, mitigating risk, and maintaining the highest standards of environmental, health, and safety performance.

• Monitor and interpret relevant laws, regulations and industry standards affecting the newbuild of a petrochemical plant.• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs and internal policies to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.• Coordinate with internal departments (Operations, Legal, HSE, Engineering) to ensure regulatory obligations are integrated into business practices.• Liaise with regulatory bodies, auditors, and external stakeholders regarding inspections, audits, permits, and reporting.• Lead regulatory impact assessments.• Ensure timely preparation and submission of reports, filings, and permit renewals.• Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify gaps and ensure continuous compliance.• Support incident investigations and advise on corrective actions from a regulatory standpoint.• Provide regulatory training and guidance to staff across various departments.Functie-eisen
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Law, or a related field.• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance, preferably within the petrochemical sector.• Strong understanding of EHS regulations and industry-specific compliance requirements.• Experience in dealing with environmental permits, hazardous substances, emissions reporting, and safety regulations.• Proven ability to interact with regulatory authorities and manage compliance audits.• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.• Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).• Proficiency in compliance management systems. Spreekt deze vacature je aan?
