Role description
As a Lab Equipment Coordinator, you will support the Biological Research division by managing and optimizing the full lifecycle of lab equipment, around 1,800 assets in total. You’ll be part of the Operations & Facilities (O&F) team, ensuring all equipment used in research is safe, compliant, and fully functional. Your role involves collaborating with scientists, asset specialists, and internal stakeholders to keep equipment validated and in top working condition.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the lifecycle of lab equipment: from purchasing to validation, maintenance, and retirement
• Maintain and write procedures to ensure compliance with internal standards and protocols
• Act as point of contact for all equipment-related questions within R&D
• Partner with key users in the lab to guide them on proper equipment use and documentation
• Work closely with the Asset Specialist and cross-functional departments to ensure seamless operations
• Provide occasional support to the GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) team within O&F

• A technical degree or at least one year of experience in a laboratory environment
• Strong communication skills and a structured way of working
• Excellent documentation and organizational abilities
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team-focused attitude
• Fluent in Dutch (mandatory)
• Experience working in a regulated lab setting is preferred
