The Dock Operator at Damen Shiprepair Amsterdam is part of a proactive team responsible for the safe docking and undocking of ships. The role involves operating and maintaining dock systems such as pumps, generators, and piping. Daily tasks include technical maintenance, minor repairs, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. A technical background, hands-on attitude, and flexibility in working hours are essential for this position.

The Dock Operator, together with the dock service team responsible for docking and undocking ships, forms an active and proactive maintenance team to ensure the optimal use of the shipyard's facilities.
The purpose of the role is to maintain and operate the pumping systems of the docks and the associated piping and valves.

Jouw kwaliteiten
- You hold a technical/maritime vocational (MBO) diploma
- You possess a valid VCA safety certificate, or want to obtain one
- You have experience in a similar technical role, such as maintenance of technical installations
- You have a forklift certificate (preferred)
- Experience at welding
- You are not afraid to get your hands dirty
- You are flexible and willing to work day, evening, and weekend shifts
- A market-based salary
