The internship

Are you a (graduate) student, passionate about digital, looking for a commercial experience in an international environment? We are seeking a highly motivated, structured and creative individual to join our Global eRetail team (digital commerce), as an eRetail Innovation & Capability Intern. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the world of eRetail where you will connect with people globally to develop eRetail Capability.

What will you be working on?

Innovation & Capability

• Co-lead development of playbook with eCommerce guidance & inspiration.
• Support in the measurement and analysis of capability of our eRetail markets.

Community & Engagement

• Co-manage our community of eRetail experts all over the world.
• Organize sessions with our communities where our markets will share best-practices.
• Oversee the engagement calendar to keep our community active and engaged.

The department

Welcome to the Global Sales team, part of our Global Commerce department! Here in Amsterdam, we're a diverse group of people representing various nationalities, all dedicated to the supporting our markets on the  digital and physical sales of our business. The eRetail team is nestled within the Global Sales team, and our main focus is to support our markets in boosting their online sales through what we like to call Bricks & Clicks, Pureplayers, Quick Commerce, and Food Delivery Channels. What's particularly exciting about diving into these channels is that this is a relatively new area for Heineken, so there are ample opportunities to enhance our capabilities and explore innovative ideas in this dynamic space!

The terms of employment

• Your starting date is 1 September 2025
• The internship is fulltime
• The duration of the internship is 5 or 6 months (in consultation with your internship supervisor)
• It is a practice-oriented internship
• You will be based in Amsterdam.
• During your internship, you have the flexibility to work from home 3 days a week.
• You will receive an internship fee of €650 gross pm based on 40 hours per week.
• You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on fulltime)
• If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed

The start of your internship

Together with a diverse group of interns from different departments you will start your internship at HEINEKEN. Together you will be introduced to the organization. Furthermore, you can organize fun activities with your fellow interns.

• WO education (Bachelor or Master)

• Passion for everything digital
• Experience with Powerpoint/Canva/Excel.

Conditions of HEINEKEN

1. You are enrolled at an educational institution.
   1. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution, from which we receive proof of enrollment for the current academic year from you.
   2. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
2. Living in the Netherlands during internship (HEINEKEN does not facilitate housing).
