• Ontwerpen en realiseren van een netwerk monitoring tbv NOC (netwerk operation center) voorzien van een dashboard als centraal punt waar netwerkactiviteiten continu worden bewaakt, beheerd en geoptimaliseerd.
  
• Onderdelen van deze implementatie zijn o.a. a.het creëren van een fysieke of virtuele Netwerk Monitoring omgeving tbv het NOC waar netwerkstatus en prestaties worden bewaakt.
  
• b.Centraliseren van de bestaande netwerkmonitoringtools (bijv. Cisco DNAC, Fortinet Manager, ASA firewalls, Solarwinds, Nagios en Zabbix) om een uniform overzicht te creëren.
  
• c.Configureren real-time dashboards met de bestaande gegevensbronnen (bijv. SNMP-traps, NetFlow, logs).
  
• d.Definieren basisdrempels voor kritieke netwerkonderdelen. Bijvoorbeeld instellen van waarschuwingen in voor downtime, hoge belasting of netwerkstoringen.
  
• Om monitoring goed te implementeren moet er met één oog gekeken worden naar de uiteindelijke stip op de horizon wat het Enterprise beleid is aangaande monitoring en logging.
  
• Diverse afdelingen kunnen parallel aan elkaar werken aan goede monitoring omgevingen die uiteindelijk allemaal tezamen komen in een Centraal Monitoring Systeem waar informatie kan worden uitgewisseld met die gebruikers die specifieke informatie wenst zoals een DB'er over zijn beschikbaarheid van databases, de systeembeheerder over zijn systemen en netwerkbeheerder over de netwerken.

Working conditions: This job role offers a balanced split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a distribution of 75% operational and 25% project-related tasks. To minimize the impact on business operations, some changes may be scheduled outside of regular business hours.
