About the Company
Our client is a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer based in Leiden that specializes in biologics production and operates in a highly regulated, GxP-compliant environment.
Role Description
Our client is seeking a Medior-level Automation Engineer to support their Execution Systems department. You’ll work within a large, collaborative automation team to implement and maintain automation solutions across manufacturing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and commission Siemens PLC (TIA Portal) and SCADA (Wonderware) systems.
- Coordinate vendors, subcontractors, and technical stakeholders.
- Execute and review automation changes, protocols, and validation documents.
- Maintain Life Cycle documentation and update SOPs and work instructions.
- HBO degree in Industrial Automation or related field.
- 2–5 years’ experience in biotech/pharma with GAMP knowledge - preferred.
- 3–5 years’ experience with Siemens PLC and SCADA (Wonderware).
- Strong knowledge of P&IDs and control systems.
- Fluent in English.
- VCA and NEN 3140 certifications required.
- OSI-PI experience is a plus.
