WHAT YOU WILL DO WITH US

All products can break, sometimes through use, sometimes due to a manufacturing defect, but fortunately most of Decathlon's products are repairable. As bike technician (in dutch: fietsmonteur), you are an expert who has product knowledge and you know how to independently carry out sport product repairs. A product that you have handled will return to the store in perfect condition, making for a happy customer! Products we for example repair: Bikes (your main focus point), Tents and other outdoor equipment, Etc.

DAILY WORK AT A GLANCE

• Receiving, registering and repairing sport products
• Ordering spare parts
• Registering and shipping repairs (to stores and our 2nd life department)
• Communication with our stores and other stakeholders

Our team is an international group of people who carry out all different repairs for the sport products. Gradually, everyone finds their own specialization and we expect the same from you.

Timeline of your career within Decathlon:

• 1st half year: You will focus on onboarding and learning everything about the job
• 2nd half year: You will excell in the position and get the opportunity to grow more in technical skills or soft skills.
• 2nd - 4th year: You can discover other opportunities in the company and potentially switch from position
  
  

WHAT WE OFFER

• A starting salary based of €2600,- based on a 38 hours work week. And after that you can grow in responsibilities and salary. 
• The possibility of a monthly bonus, based on the results of Decathlon NL.
• We have an Annual Activity Appraisal, where your have a possible increase of salary based on skill set and you performance.

Growth path and salary
To grow within the several technician scales you will have trainings and workshops. You will be validated for the next step when you have the necessary skills.

Senior workshop technician: €2600 - €2800

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

• You love to do sports!
• Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience (in repair). A bike technician school degree is a huge plus
• Enthusiasm and motivation to learn and to explain (related to repairs)
• You have a strong team spirit and are ready to help wherever the team needs you the most
• You like to work in a organized manner and have good communication skills, as you will interact with stores and stakeholders.
• You are fluent in English. Dutch communication skills is a plus
• You have the nationality of one of the EU countries and live in a 30 km radius of your circular center in Tilburg. You need a valid visa/work permit to work for us
• Available 32-38 hours

WORKING HOURS

No late shifts, no weekend shifts: the repair team works Monday to Friday, from 8.30 till 17.00

LOCATION

• Decathlon Warehouse, we are located on the top floor with a view over Tilburg
