Our client is seeking a driven Lead Engineer to take ownership of structural and architectural projects that support the construction and modernization of factories, installations, utilities, and buildings. This role is ideal for professionals eager to work beyond the blueprint—combining strategic thinking with hands-on leadership in multidisciplinary settings.
As Lead Engineer, you will guide a well-organized team through complex engineering challenges, from heavy foundations for process equipment to steel frameworks for new facilities. You’ll play a central role in translating biobased or industrial process needs into fully operational, safe, and compliant installations.
You are responsible for structuring and managing engineering workflows—dividing tasks, monitoring progress, and aligning design, safety, planning, and cost considerations. You’ll convert client requirements into technical solutions, produce contract documentation, and engage with suppliers, clients, and permitting authorities. Reviewing designs, supervising inspections, and ensuring timely project adjustments are key aspects of your daily responsibilities.
You will be part of a supportive and technically strong team of lead engineers, structural engineers, and designers. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues and report directly to the department head, all while having the space to grow professionally in a culture that values initiative and knowledge-sharing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Structural Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant professional experience
- Proficient in both architectural and structural engineering principles
- Experience with contract documentation and cost estimation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English
- Decisive and clear communicator who enjoys team collaboration
