Are you an expert in mechanical engineering design and enjoy mentoring junior team members? Are you seeking a challenging role with complex projects that never get boring? Then you might be our new Lead Engineer W for the Airports unit!
You will provide substantive advice to our airport clients during all phases of the design process and support the project manager in communication about the design process. You’ll also play a key role in liaising with external design partners, executing market parties, and stakeholders such as users. You will participate in internal and external design meetings and coordinate the installations entrusted to you. This includes coordinating with other installations as well as with architectural and structural designs. Building a strong relationship with clients to be involved early in projects as a trusted advisor will be essential.
- Design: Determining concepts and further developing designs, writing advisory and design reports, and preparing cost estimates.
- Ensuring the quality of designs and monitoring set frameworks, such as design budgets and project requirements.
- Advising clients in all phases of the design process and supporting the project manager in client communication.
- Maintaining contact with external design partners, executing market parties, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinating within the design team, including other disciplines and mechanical designers and modelers.
