Are you ready to take the next step as a Project Engineer in the world of sustainable energy?

The role

Bright Renewables supplies technologies for renewable gas and CO₂ capture, offering global solutions from production to maintenance. Bright Renewables is part of the HoSt Group, a proud family business with roots in the Netherlands and a global market leader in renewable energy technology.

As a Project Engineer, you’ll be joining the winner of the FD Gazelle Silver and the Oryx Award - the most inspiring company in the Netherlands - and contributing to a greener future! At Bright Renewables, you’ll have the opportunity to apply your skills to meaningful projects that make a real difference.

Your position as Project Engineer

As a Project Engineer, you’ll work closely with other Project Engineers, E&I and Software Engineers, Drafting Engineers, and Project Managers within the department, based in our office in Enschede. Here, over 400 colleagues work daily toward a sustainable future. Starting next year, we will move into a brand new, modern office in Hengelo.

At Bright Renewables, you will be responsible for the technical execution of projects. Together with the Project Manager, you ensure that our installations are tailored to meet customer requirements. Your role includes making design decisions, optimizing processes, and selecting components to ensure technical feasibility, efficiency, and quality - ultimately making each project a success for the client.

You’ll select and approve components for procurement, prepare technical documentation such as work instructions and specifications, and assist in creating drawings and performing calculations. During the build and commissioning phases, you’ll provide technical support and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards. You will serve as the main point of contact for our colleagues in Poland during the production phase and report directly to the Team Lead Project Engineering.

Your responsibilities
  • Providing technical advice during project preparation;

  • Selecting and approving necessary components and materials;

  • Preparing project execution, including documentation and specifications;

  • Offering technical support during the commissioning phase;

  • Coordinating the application of standards within the project;

  • Actively contributing to the development and improvement of our standards for future projects and upcoming quarters.

Our requirements
  • A completed technical education, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering;

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role;

  • Knowledge of process technology, installations, and construction work;

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent planning and organizational abilities;

  • A quality-focused and professional approach, with a continuous improvement mindset and strong customer focus;

  • Proficiency in English.

What we offer
  • Competitive employment conditions and salary based on experience and education;

  • Attractive annual profit sharing (paid in September) for permanent employees;

  • Excellent retirement scheme;

  • Travel allowance of €0.21 per km;

  • 8% of holiday allowance;

  • The option to work 32 or 40 hours per week;

  • Flexible start times between 7:00 and 9:00 AM;

  • Generous opportunities to work from home;

  • A chance to work for a market leader in sustainable energy focused on innovation, and winner of the 2024 Oryx and Gazelle awards;

  • A workplace in an international family business where your ideas matter and successes are celebrated together;

  • A team environment with both new and experienced professionals;

  • From 2026: Work in a brand-new, sustainably built office with the most modern eco-friendly facilities in Hengelo;

  • A high level of autonomy and responsibility;

  • Plenty of opportunities to develop yourself technically and professionally;

  • Access to a company bicycle through our bike lease plan;

  • Earn gift cards by cycling your commute.
