Functieomschrijving

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Laboratory Systems Automation Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide critical support in automating laboratory systems, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders on both local and global levels, supporting key projects that enhance lab efficiency, data integrity, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise in the automation of laboratory processes and integration of lab systems with existing technologies to optimize data handling and operational workflows.
  • Lead or participate in lab systems projects such as implementation of analytical equipment systems, global platforms (e.g., LIMS, SDMS), and paperless solutions.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain SOPs, protocols, and technical documentation to ensure compliance and facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, effectively representing the automation team in cross-functional meetings and project discussions.
  • Drive lab-based continuous improvement initiatives by applying lean principles to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
  • Ensure that all laboratory activities adhere to Environmental Health and Safety Standards (EHSS), GxP regulations, and internal quality procedures.
  • Analyze lab systems data to generate meaningful insights and performance reports that support informed decision-making.
  • Identify and monitor non-conformances in lab processes, equipment, or systems, ensuring swift resolution and reporting.
  • Conduct thorough root cause investigations for any non-conformances, using structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Support other work-related tasks as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to team success.
Functie-eisen
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in laboratory automation, lab systems (e.g., LIMS, SDMS), or analytical equipment integration.
  • Familiarity with GxP, EHSS, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a structured approach to documentation and compliance.
Arbeidsvoorwaarden

It concerns a secondment agreement at Johnson & Johnson via Yacht for 1 year (with possible extension), for 40 hours per week (working on site)
