Operational Planner (Sittard area)

The Operational Planner supports the business by planning and realizing an optimum logistic execution of raw materials, packing materials and products against the lowest possible costs, through an efficient alignment of all logistic and loading activities between manufacturing, depot and customer.   

Your key responsibilities in this position:

·         Develops a weekly logistical planning for all loading activities and organizes alignment of this planning with all internal and external stakeholders in order to establish a shared weekly planning.

·         Generates 4-6 weeks logistical planning, based on the long-term S&OP and short-term input of sales and manufacturing.

·         Monitors and evaluates the performance of logistic providers and depots and reports information to purchasing.

·         Steers the daily operation of all external logistic providers and depots, signals bottlenecks in the logistic process and generates solutions in order to minimize disturbance in the logistical flow.

Your Profile

We are looking for motivated candidates with Intermediate Vocational Education+ (MBO+) level or university of applied sciences (HBO) in Supply Chain or Logistics ideally complemented with a couple of years’ experience in Supply Chain or Logistics environment and knowledge of the relevant business processes (OTC) and import/export regulation. you have a high stress tolerance and excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Dutch, as well as skills in MS Office and SAP SD. Communication skills in German, knowledge of bulk shipping, storage and handling and dangerous goods are a pro.
