Join a high-impact brownfield project in the offshore energy sector as a seasoned Project Manager. Step into a key leadership role at the intersection of engineering, project execution, and stakeholder coordination.
Our client is working on a major offshore redevelopment project and is looking for an experienced Project Manager to take the lead. This role focuses on upgrading and optimizing existing infrastructure - think platforms, pipelines, and energy islands - within an active offshore environment. It’s a hands-on position that requires a solid understanding of brownfield operations and the confidence to steer projects through tight timelines and technical hurdles.
You’ll be managing a multidisciplinary team and coordinating everything from shutdown schedules and work permits to engineering activities and subcontractor efforts - both on-site and offshore. Clear communication is key, as you’ll be the point of contact for contractors, suppliers, and client teams, ensuring everyone stays aligned.
Developing smart execution plans and keeping risks in check will be part of your daily routine. You’ll also provide regular updates to both the client and steering committee, tackling challenges head-on and keeping the project on track.
This is a 12-month contract with a strong chance of extension. It’s a great opportunity to join a highly skilled team and work in a technically demanding but rewarding environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Offshore Engineering (or related field)
- 5+ years of experience managing projects in offshore or energy environments, ideally with brownfield exposure
- Solid knowledge of asset integrity, modification projects, HAZID/HAZOP, and permitting processes
- Analytical mindset with a practical, solution-focused approach
- Familiar with standards like NEN 3140, ATEX, and VCA-VOL
- Fluent in both Dutch and English, with strong communication skills
