Are you an administrative multitasker with a passion for HR and international collaboration? Dow Chemical is looking for an HR Administrative Assistant to join the HR Solutions team in Terneuzen. In this role, you’ll support employees and managers across the EMEAI region with a wide range of HR processes. You’ll work in a high-performing team of over 140 colleagues from 20+ nationalities, where quality, structure, and customer focus are key.
Employment agency Manpower is looking for an HR Administrative Assistant for Dow in Terneuzen.
As an HR Administrative Assistant, you are the first point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR-related questions, particularly in personnel administration. You ensure that all processes are executed accurately and with a customer-oriented approach.
Your responsibilities:
- Responding to HR-related inquiries via phone or digital communication (e.g. contracts, employment letters, data changes)
- Processing data and handling administrative HR tasks in systems such as Workday, SAP, and ServiceNow
- Advising employees and managers on HR processes and policies across Europe
- Ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation of procedures and workflows
- Contributing ideas for improvements and enhancing the overall Employee Experience
- Gross hourly wage between €18.50 and €26.00, depending on experience
- Travel allowance of €0.21 per km, up to 75 km one-way
- 40-hour workweek, during office hours
- Pension accrual from day one via Manpower
- Temporary contract via Manpower with the possibility of a permanent position at Dow
- Hybrid work arrangement (3 days a week in the office, in consultation)
- Access to 200+ training courses via Manpower Academy, focused on your personal and professional development
- At least an MBO level 4 diploma, preferably in HR, administration, or secretarial studies
- Preferably some experience in HR administration or a similar supportive role
- Fluency in English and German, both spoken and written
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel; experience with systems like Workday or SAP is a plus
- Ability to work independently, accurately, and with a service mindset
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines in an international environment
