We're looking for a Data Center Engineer to support one of our leading clients with the opportunity to join them directly after 12 months.

As a Data Center Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day operations and physical infrastructure of our client’s global data center network. From on-site hardware installations to coordinating with international vendors, you’ll ensure the smooth running of the systems that power today’s digital world.

Working via our team for the first year, you'll be fully integrated into the client’s operations. After 12 months of successful collaboration, you'll transition into direct employment with the client.

What you'll do:

• Provide hands-on operational support in the data center.
• Execute infrastructure projects such as hardware installations and relocations.
• Respond to ticket-based support requests and resolve hardware issues within SLAs.
• Physically move equipment between racks or locations (unrack, transport, re-install).
• Replace failed hardware components and respond to alerts.
• Install servers, network/security devices, and structured cabling to industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and maintain physical network and hardware components.
• Coordinate with vendors for equipment delivery, rack installations, and cabling.
• Ensure installations and cabling follow best practices.
• Manage inventory and liaise with suppliers for both domestic and international logistics.
• Handle RMAs for defective equipment.
• Improve and maintain documentation and standard procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotations for critical after-hours support.

You’re technically strong, reliable, and take ownership of your work. You’re structured, communicative, and can operate independently while keeping the bigger picture in mind. Flexibility, precision, and proactivity define your working style.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data center environments.
• Strong skills in hardware installation, structured cabling, and troubleshooting.
• Experience coordinating with vendors and managing infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with remote hands coordination and inventory control.
• Proficient in Google Workspace (especially spreadsheets and shared docs).
• Solid technical understanding of data center hardware, networking, and cloud environments.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Available to work on-site 5 days per week and open to international travel (up to 10%).
