Our people are our business, and we’re now looking for a Junior Business Controller with a desire to grow, both personally as well as professionally.

The role is directly aligned to our Headquarter in Amsterdam.

Responsibilities
In Verisure Netherlands, the Business Controller is a key member in Finance Organization, consisting of several departments (accounting, invoicing, collections, logistics and of course business control). In this role you will report directly to the Head of Business Control and Supply Chain and work closely with your fellow Business Controllers. You will support the Business Units and Management Team decisions through business analysis, financial information and insights, ensuring the correct and efficient use of financial resources.

The candidate will join the team FP&A (Finance Planning and Analysis) and:
• Deliver regular and ad-hoc financial and business analysis
• Understand business performance and provide insightful analysis to the business units
• Coordinate the financial processes with the area (marketing, planning, sales)
• Perform month-end financial process
• Ensure accurate and timely information to the business and management team
• Identify key opportunities to maximize efficiency of the business decisions
• Elaborate financial estimations to support business decisions
• Enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results
• Ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards
• Maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, MBA is a plus
• Experience with ERP System, Oracle is a plus
• Capable to identify GAP with business KPIs
• Strong analytical skills and good understanding of business drivers and KPIs
• Knowledge of accounting, reporting, business analysis functions
• Proactive and committed, with a strong hands-on approach
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, proven experience in building data models
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience working in an international, multicultural setting
• Structured, detail oriented, and capable of understanding the big picture
• 1-2 years of experience
• Fluent in written and spoken English (Dutch is a plus)
