For an international logistics provider with a strong multimodal presence across Europe, we are currently looking for an experienced and driven General Manager to lead the Amsterdam branch. This is a senior position with full P&L ownership and a strategic mandate to grow and strengthen operations in the North/Central European region.

As General Manager, you’ll lead a committed local team in Amsterdam and take responsibility for:

• Strategic growth: Expanding our multimodal product offering (trailer, container, and logistics services) in close collaboration with product and sales teams.
  
• Customer development: Ensuring high service levels for current clients and proactively identifying new commercial opportunities.
  
• Operational excellence: Overseeing transport execution and administrative compliance — you ensure things run smoothly and effectively.
  
• Team leadership: Building and nurturing a culture of performance, ownership, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
  
• Industry relations: Maintaining strong relationships with the haulage sector to secure critical transport capacity.
  
• Regional alignment: Translating broader strategy into local action and aligning Amsterdam’s operations with regional and corporate goals.

You’re not just experienced — you’re strategic, hands-on, and forward-thinking. You bring:

• A Master’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field
  
• Proven experience in a senior general management or regional leadership role in logistics or transport
  
• Strong commercial insight and a successful track record in P&L responsibility and business development
  
• A people-focused leadership style: clear, motivating, and supportive
  
• Excellent command of both English and Dutch
  
• The ability to stay calm and effective under pressure
  
• A mindset that embraces change and brings creative solutions
