Our company is a leading provider of innovative and sustainable animal nutrition solutions in the feed industry. We are working towards rolling out a global Laboratory Information Management System (Labvantage LIMS) to harmonize data collection across our 132 laboratories in 34 countries. To support this initiative, we are looking for a Business Application Specialist (BAS) to strengthen our Quality / LIMS team at Nutreco.

As a Business Application Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining, supporting, and expanding our global LIMS application. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions and support the system’s development and optimization.

About the Role

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for the Labvantage LIMS application.

• Work with internal stakeholders and experts to gather business needs and translate them into technical specifications.

• Assist with development, testing, and implementation of software solutions and system integrations in collaboration with the LIMS vendor.

• Ensure data integrity and database management, supporting SQL-based solutions.

• Provide ongoing user training and support to ensure effective system adoption.

• Support the expansion of LIMS into new countries and integration with other business systems as needed.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including laboratories, IT, and business experts, to improve system performance and usability.

Skills and Expertise

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field.

• 3-5 years of experience in software development, IT systems management, or business applications support

• Background in Java and SQL development is required.

• Experience with LIMS (Labvantage preferred) or laboratory systems is a plus.

• Strong understanding of relational databases and experience working with Microsoft SQL Server.

• Good communication skills, analytical mindset, and ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders.

• Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus)
   

Expectations from the Role

• Act as the technical point of contact for the global LIMS system.

• Provide technical and functional support to end users.

• Support the expansion of LIMS into new regions and business areas.

• Ensure system reliability and performance, contributing to process improvements.
