Your new role 
Our client is looking for a Lead Technician QC Microbiology to join the Quality Operations department in Haarlem, where you will work together with 6 colleagues in the Microbiology laboratory. As a Lead Technician, you contribute to the quality of their animal health products (vaccines and tablets) on a daily basis. You will do this by performing routine and non-routine analyses using a wide range of microbiological analysis techniques.

Primary Responsibilities

Performing microbiological analyses on pharmaceutical products such as various vaccines and tablets in accordance with standard operating procedures, GMP guidelines and legislation.Interpreting test results against pre-defined specifications. Evaluating and reporting abnormal results.Troubleshooting in case of analysis or equipment problems and support with OOS/QNs.Advising the department on corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) in response to observed deviations.Supervising and training colleagues (analysts) for the execution of analyses and other lab-related activities.Executing/supervising projects such as qualifications, including writing associated protocols and reports.Evaluating the consequences of changes in internal and external guidelines, as well as initiating and developing pharmaceutical policies and procedures.

What you’ll need to succeed 
The successful candidate should be: A motivated colleague with at least a completed HLO education in the direction of microbiology.At least several years of practical work experience, preferably gained in the pharmaceutical industry (under GMP).Practical experience with all common microbiological techniques, such as sterility tests.Experience in writing, performing and reporting (microbiological) qualifications in Dutch and in English.Proactive, flexible, critical and stress-resistant.Good communication skills (word and writing) in Dutch and in English.  

What you’ll get in return
Hays Detachering | This is a project that will start with a contract for 12 months through Hays. Extension to stay within the department is anticipated. In this position, you will get a competitive salary (based on experience starting from €3,452 gross p/m) and your travel expenses are covered.
