Internship: Market Intelligence Support – Procurement Maassluis • Lely

Are you an analytical thinker with a passion for market research and pricing strategies? At Lely, we are continuously working on optimizing our procurement processes to create value for both our operations and our dairy farmers. As an intern in our Procurement team, you will provide crucial support to our Contract Managers by conducting in-depth market price research and gathering intelligence that will strengthen our negotiations with suppliers of direct materials.

You will play an active role in mapping out bill of materials (BoMs), analyzing supplier price developments, and comparing these with key performance indicators set in our purchase agreements. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in an international and innovative environment where your input will have a real impact.

Your responsibilities at a glance:

• Conduct market research to identify trends and benchmarks in material pricing.
• Analyze bills of materials across different parts and product categories.
• Gather and interpret supplier price lists and historical price data.
• Compare current prices with KPIs from general purchase agreements.
• Support Contract Managers with insights and reports to aid negotiations.
• Translate market intelligence into actionable procurement advice.

You are a curious and driven student eager to learn from a highly professional and collaborative environment. You enjoy diving into data, identifying patterns, and presenting your findings clearly.

We are looking for a student who brings the following:

• You are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management (Technische Bedrijfskunde), or a related field.
• You are available for a full-time internship of 6 months (4 to 5 days per week).
• You have strong analytical skills and enjoy working with data and spreadsheets.
• Experience with Excel is required; Power BI is a plus.
• You are fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).
• You are proactive, structured, and curious to understand how pricing and procurement strategies work.
