As a Mechanical Designer, your primary responsibility revolves around designing mechanical components for the IGT fixed system while ensuring compliance with medical device standards. Your role spans the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept through manufacturing and ongoing support, necessitating collaboration with internal and external partners.
As a Mechanical Designer within the department overseeing imaging stands and patient tables, your primary responsibility entails designing and crafting mechanical elements for the IGT fixed system, ensuring compliance with pertinent medical device standards. Your role spans across all stages of product development, from initial concepts to manufacturing integration and ongoing service assistance, necessitating collaboration with both internal and external partners. Through rigorous technical analysis, simulation work, and meticulous documentation, you guarantee the reliability and excellence of our products while actively participating in their continuous improvement and process optimization.
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for the IGT fixed system’s table and stand, ensuring adherence to relevant medical device standards and regulations.
- Participate in all stages of new product development, from conceptualization to documentation, design, prototyping, testing, supplier interactions, manufacturing integration, and ongoing service support.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as operations and procurement teams, while conducting technical analyses, simulations (FEA), testing, and documentation for your designs.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation for the design, including design calculations, FMEA, field data analysis, and verification reporting.
- Contribute to the continual enhancement of our products and processes through proactive involvement in improvement initiatives.
Gevraagd
- Candidates need an MSc (or BSc with extensive experience) in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 3 years’ R&D experience, preferably in regulated sectors like Medical, Automotive, or Aerospace/Defense.
- Proficiency in documentation, design, and 3D CAD, particularly Creo (Pro/ENGINEER), with familiarity in standards like IEC60601 and DFMEA.
- Strong commitment to quality, teamwork, and communication skills are essential.
- Ability to balance conceptual thinking with hands-on experience, with additional skills in FEM and Design for Six Sigma advantageous.
- Responsibilities include developing products and systems, adhering to user and business requirements, and integrating internal and external research while ensuring system integrity.
