WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Tax Manager, you’ll develop a deep understanding of our unique trading business and support Optiver across corporate, transfer pricing, and trading tax matters. You’ll collaborate closely with other tax teams, as well as with finance, compliance, legal, trading, and technology teams.

More specifically, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Dutch-based operations and global team from a (Dutch) corporate income tax, international tax and/or TP perspective. This includes advising on reorganizations, transformations, M&A transactions, tax audits, and tax filings (the preparation of tax returns is done by another team member) from a tax technical perspective.
  • You will be trained to become an expert on Optiver’s securities trading business and financial markets enabling you to be a specialist in trading-related tax matters.
  • Working alongside the Global Head of Transfer Pricing on transfer pricing projects and documentation, and advising on (international) tax projects.
  • Managing and informing key business stakeholders on tax implications related to ongoing or new projects and business initiatives.


WHO YOU ARE

  • An academic degree in Dutch tax law or economics.
  • Strong knowledge of Dutch corporate and international tax, with a broad interest in tax matters.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in the Tax team of a multinational and/or an international consulting practice.
  • A strong interest in financial markets.
  • Proven ability to manage complex international tax projects and transactions.
  • Ability to balance business and control interests.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive, sharp, confident, analytical, structured, flexible, and quality-focused mindset.
  • The ability to anticipate and manage multiple and shifting priorities.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Dutch and English.
  • A team player mindset with a good sense of humor.
  • Experience with transfer pricing is preferred.
