Interact with customers by providing product and service information, handling inquiries and complaints, and generating quotes. Act as an authorised representative, arranging shipments, negotiating rates, and ensuring efficient cargo clearance and delivery to meet service level requirements.
Description
- Provide daily telephone support to customers;
- Create offers and quotes for customers;
- Request ad hoc rates from airlines and other vendors;
- Offer alternative solutions to customers;
- Follow up on customer requests;
- Prepare transport arrangements;
- Issue HAWB and AWB;
- Accurately enter shipment details into the FMS;
- Arrange necessary transport;
- Manage airline bookings and truck schedules;
- Enter estimated costs into the FMS;
- Perform general administrative tasks (e.g., Ausfuhranmeldung, AE 302, daily shipments);
- Arrange and manage all import and transit shipments;
- Work on agent quotes;
- Handle claims;
- Route and reroute cargo as needed;
- Verify delivery of shipments with agents and airlines;
- Obtain delivery details (date, time, recipient);
- Obtain hardcopy proof of delivery for internal and external deliveries;
- Provide onward shipping information for all international shipments;
- Update FMS with new tracking information for shipments.
