Do you enjoy physical work and thrive on structure and organization? As a warehouse assistant at this rental company in Amsterdam, you’ll be the one making sure everything runs smoothly. From picking orders to checking returned items – you’ve got it covered. Your day starts early, you’ll work with a down-to-earth and friendly team, and you’ll help ensure every event can kick off without a hitch. During busy periods, you might work a weekend day, but on weekdays your evenings are usually free. No two days are the same – and that variety is exactly what makes the job fun.

A Day in the Life as a Warehouse Assistant
You arrive in the morning, grab a coffee, and check the schedule for the day. At 07:00, you and your colleagues get started. You divide up the pick lists and take the lead. You begin gathering materials for a large event happening later that day – from party tents and chairs to decorations and tableware. Everything needs to be complete and clean.

Meanwhile, returns come in. You check whether everything has been returned, carry out repairs if needed, and set aside damaged items for maintenance. You make sure the inventory is accurate and that the warehouse stays tidy. Keeping everything in the right place is essential – structure is key.

Later in the day, you help load the trucks. You communicate clearly with drivers and ensure everything is securely fastened. Your day wraps up with a final check of incoming orders and a quick cleanup round. Around 17:30, your workday ends – unless you stay a bit longer during peak periods.

Every day is different, but one thing is certain: you’ll work in a high-energy environment, stay physically active, and directly contribute to the success of parties and events across the country.

Your Responsibilities
  • Overseeing and managing pick lists.
  • Processing returns and checking order completeness.
  • Performing quality checks and identifying defects.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.
  • Assisting with loading and unloading of goods.
  • Keeping stock levels up to date and reporting shortages.
  • Logging defects and initiating repairs.
  • Coordinating with colleagues in other departments to ensure smooth logistics.
What We’re Looking For
  • You are physically fit and enjoy active work.
  • You speak Dutch or English.
  • You have a hands-on mentality and think ahead.
  • You are available full-time on weekdays between 07:00 and 18:00.
  • You’re willing to work Saturdays on a regular basis.
  • You are detail-oriented and take ownership of your work.
  • You live in or near Amsterdam and can commute independently.
