For a leading, internationally operating company in the food industry, we are looking for an experienced and driven Sales Manager Food.

In this full-time position, you will focus on the European market and work within an innovative organization that specializes in groundbreaking nutritional solutions, with a strong focus on global developments in the food sector.

The Job

As Sales Manager, you will be the key point of contact for clients in the Active Nutrition segment: high-protein and high-fiber products such as sports nutrition, breakfast cereals, and snack bars. These are not just for athletes, but for anyone looking for healthy snacking options! 

Your work area includes the Benelux, Central Europe, and Scandinavia. You will manage existing accounts, generate new leads and translate market trends into commercial opportunities. Together with fellow sales managers, you will contribute to the strategic growth of the organization. Internal meetings take place on-site or online, depending on urgency and needs—expect to be in regular contact with your team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow your client portfolio
• Conduct active acquisition within your segment
• Implement commercial strategies and achieve revenue growth
• Guide client projects in collaboration with tech and R&D experts
• Identify market trends and customer needs

You will be trusted to operate independently and take ownership. This role is not about clocking hours, but about delivering results. Travel—including regular visits to Germany and client sites within your sales region—is an essential part of the job.

The Company 

Our client develops high-quality semi-finished products based on starch and proteins. With deep R&D expertise and application technology, they advise food manufacturers on the versatile use of their ingredients. Their solutions are used in a wide range of segments, including bakery and pasta, plant-based foods, breadcrumbs, confectionery, and active nutrition. The company is part of a large European producer of wheat starch and proteins, with headquarters in Germany, which you will visit regularly for meetings and collaboration.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's level of education and thinking
• Experience in sales strategies and relationship management
• Fluent in Dutch and English; German is a plus
• Affinity with (sports) nutrition, grains, or proteins
• Digital skills (MS Office, ERP/CRM systems)

And equally important: a commercial mindset, professional attitude, strong communication skills, and decisiveness!
