The position

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Java Developer to join our team and contribute to ongoing client projects in Apeldoorn. As a Senior Java Developer at ALTEN Netherlands, you will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing complex software systems. Your work will involve building scalable applications, improving performance, and ensuring high-quality solutions for a wide range of projects across diverse industries. You will be responsible for addressing technical challenges and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive the success of our clients’ software solutions.

Your main tasks will include: 

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Java-based applications and systems to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define requirements, design solutions, and troubleshoot issues.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while adhering to industry best practices.
• Optimize system performance to meet evolving customer needs and ensure high standards of reliability.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to the growth of the development team.
• Document code and processes to maintain a smooth development workflow and knowledge sharing.

Your Profile

• Bachelor- of masterdiploma in Computerwetenschappen, Software Engineering of een gerelateerd vakgebied.
• Minimaal 5 jaar professionele ervaring als Java-ontwikkelaar.
• Sterke expertise in Java-frameworks, zoals Spring en Hibernate.
• Goede kennis van softwareontwerp-patronen en best practices.
• Uitstekende probleemoplossende vaardigheden en het vermogen om complexe technische uitdagingen aan te gaan.
• Een samenwerkende instelling, prettig in teamverband en in het begeleiden van junior ontwikkelaars.
• Beheersing van Engels of Nederlands is vereist.
