Your role

In this role you will be at the helm of large-scale projects, ranging from $50M to $150M and your role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless on-site execution of these projects, from planning to completion.

You will manage the daily operations of the Vanderlande Installation team and subcontracted scope of work, while they are engaged in the construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of Material Handling Equipment systems. 

You are the responsible and accountable main point of contact for all construction related activities and will report to the Project Management team who has ultimate responsibility for the project. 

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the site-based execution of medium to large projects;
• Create a challenging site-based project plan (including commissioning and integration) and lead the complete execution on site;
• Manage site-based contracts of all install related equipment within budget
• Manage quality, time, costs and provision of information, report and escalate non-conformities to PM;
• Mobilize the complete site-based organization, negotiate with Install subcontractors on scope and budgets;
• Manage stakeholders at any level, including senior management (in- and outside VI);
• Ensure the high-quality execution of the installation process, manage adherence and report on it;
• Manage the site safety by creating, implementing and securing the site safety plan;
• Communicate with customer about progress, out of scope work and all site related issues.

Which qualifications are we looking for?

• Executing projects means you and your team will be working remote, as you are in the lead and an example for others, a proven track record is required;
• Higher level education (HBO) on industrial or electrical engineering;
• Profound in reading and speaking English language;
• 5 years of relevant working experience in medium to large projects;
• Knowledge of Material Handling equipment;
• Prepared to travel for over 80%-90% and being expat-able is mandatory.
