26 JUN 25’: My client, a global pharmaceutical equipment supplier, is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer. The role is based at their engineering-focused site in North Brabant, supporting custom system design for top pharmaceutical clients.

This is how you will make the difference

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the complete design cycle of single-use fluid-handling systems, such as mixers and tubing solutions used in pharmaceutical production. Each project is unique and based on client input, requiring involvement in technical drawing, calculations, and validation. You will own the design process from feasibility through to validation and handoff. This includes creating and adapting 2D/3D technical drawings and P&ID diagrams, performing mechanical calculations, and selecting the appropriate system components. You’ll work closely with clients to refine designs and specifications and liaise with subcontractors in the Netherlands to ensure accurate manufacturing. You will also support project delivery activities such as FATs, SATs, and occasional on-site commissioning. All designs must be documented according to internal quality protocols, and you can expect to travel to vendors or client sites about once or twice a month.

What you bring

You bring at least 2 years of experience in industrial system design and a hands-on approach to project delivery. You are confident with design software and fluid systems, and enjoy working in a dynamic, client-adapted engineering environment. The preferable candidate should have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Bioengineering or similar);
• Minimum 2 years of experience in product development and strong skills in 3D design (e.g., Inventor);
• Familiarity with industrial equipment in industries like pharma, food, chemical;

• Ability to read/produce P&ID and technical documentation;
• Experience working with external vendors or subcontractors is a plus;
• Understanding of GMP or validation processes is a plus;
• English fluency (team is international), Dutch can be a plus;
