As a Milling Operator, you work with large, modern machines that are specifically built for Sif. You process huge steel plates, up to 42 tons and 27 meters long. You make sure everything is done exactly according to the technical drawings.
Your tasks:

• Set up and operate the automatic milling machine
• Follow work instructions and technical drawings
• Check measurements and report any damage
• Solve small problems and keep your machine clean and safe
• Check the quality and discuss with colleagues to get the best results

Good to know… You get paid training and an experienced colleague will teach you everything. You work in a big production hall with colleagues from different countries. Teamwork and safety are very important here.

You work in three shifts:

• Morning: 06:00 to 14:00
• Afternoon: 14:00 to 22:00
• Night: 22:00 to 06:00

You get 25 vacation days per year and an extra week off at Christmas. It’s normal to go back home every 2 to 3 months for a short visit (in agreement with your manager).

• You speak English at B1 / B2 level
• You have a VCA Basic certificate in English or Dutch (or are willing to get one via HOBIJ)
• You have 1 – 2 years of experience in metalwork or technical production
• You can read technical drawings and know how to use machines and tools
• You are precise, eager to learn, and love technology
• You have a category B driving license
• You are fine working in shifts
• You are willing to do a game-based assessment to show how fast you learn
• You want a long-term job

A good salary, paid weekly on Friday, depending on your experience:

• Junior (1–3 years): from € 16.00 gross per hour

Average € 606.59 net per week (after tax, rent, insurance, bonuses)

• Medior (3–5 years): from € 16.29 gross per hour

Average € 616.47 net per week (after tax, rent, insurance, bonuses)

• Senior (6+ years): from € 17.31 gross per hour

Average € 651.39 net per week (after tax, rent, insurance, bonuses)
Salaries are reviewed yearly and can grow if you do great work.
