 Within OCI Nitrogen we are looking for a Systems Engineer

What will you do as a systems engineer?

As a Systems Engineer, you are responsible for maintaining, developing, and optimizing the OT infrastructure that supports our production environment. You’ll work on both project-based and operational tasks, helping to ensure the continuity and efficiency of our critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure, and maintain systems (servers, networks, storage, etc).
• Support automation and production processes through robust and secure OT/IT environments.
• Participate in digitalization and cybersecurity initiatives (NIS2).
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with departments such as Maintenance, Process Automation, and IT.
• Document technical designs, procedures, and changes.
• Ensure system health for reliable, and safe operation.
• Support during proof testing and commissioning of various plants.

What you bring

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in a technical or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of networking, Windows servers, virtualization (e.g., VMware), backup, and monitoring tools.
• Affinity with industrial automation and/or OT systems (e.g., SCADA, DCS, PLC).
• Knowledge on IEC61511 in terms of logic requirements and management of functional safety systems on PLC.
• Functional safety engineer certification (wish).
• Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken).
• Analytical, proactive, and a strong communicator.
