We are seeking an experienced Health Safety Environmental (HSE) Coordinator to support the safe execution of one of our Offshore Wind Farm Projects, in the Groningen province - Netherlands.

Our client is a major player in the Dutch wind power sector, particularly in offshore wind. They are involved in the manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of wind turbines, including both onshore and offshore projects. They also play a role in the development of the infrastructure needed to connect wind farms to the electricity grid. 

• You will proactively support the site management team by providing leadership, demonstrating, and promoting responsible attitudes towards HSE, implementing best practice with regards to HSE standards and contributing towards the delivery of the overall business HSE strategy.
• You will coordinate with internal workforce and external contractors to ensure that a suitable and sufficient Safe system of work is in place prior to works being undertaken and liaise with site managers to monitor that this is adhered to during the execution of works.
• You will ensure the contractors comply with Environmental, Health and Safety Legislation, SGRE standards, Customer and Site requirements.
• Monitor site emergency preparedness readiness. Monitor that safety observation reports are followed up, in conjunction with site management colleagues where appropriate, ensuring proportionate investigation of each occurrence is completed and corrective/preventative actions are effectively implemented where applicable.
• Develop HSE Improvements projects for the site
• Carry out analysis of safety observations, actioning any identified trends through awareness schemes or other appropriate actions.
• Produce the necessary EHS Reports.
• Participate in planning/coordination meetings to ensure works are safely interfaced with other operations on the site.
• Perform frequent site safety walks and formalized inspections in different places, including subcontractors' activities.
• Go regularly offshore with Team on windturbine to be on the field with Operational Teams and understand their daily activities
• Communicate and collaborate with technical functions and other HSE team members across the business to share learning and develop best practice.
• Participate in HSE audits and assessments, both internal and external.

• Recognized HSE qualification (e.g., HVK, equivalent of NEBOSH Certificate
• Several Years’ experience in an HSE role in the Wind Turbine Construction or maintenance industry
• High level in English is essential including technical English for communicating with foreign colleagues, customer and subcontractors, or reading all Corporate documentation, preparing documents etc...., Dutch is a high advantage
• Personal qualities: Rigourous, autonomy, taste for teamwork. Committed and flexible, with a large proportion of activities linked to scheduling, Excellent communication, listening and leadership skills. Exemplary in terms of HSE.
• Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team
• High motivation level; self-starter with excellent leadership and excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
• High capability with various office and cloud-based software
