About the Role
In this position, you will be part of a self-directed microbiology team focused on delivering accurate and efficient pharmaceutical microbiological testing. The work environment encourages both independence and teamwork, offering the opportunity to apply your technical knowledge while actively contributing to a culture of ongoing improvement. This is a hands-on lab role, where your expertise will help maintain product and process quality through rigorous microbiological analyses.
Requirements
Completed MBO (MLO) education in Microbiology with 1–3 years of experience, or a completed HBO (HLO) degree in Microbiology
Prior experience in a microbiology-related laboratory, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry
Familiarity with MaldiTOF identification systems is a plus
Experience with microbiological test validation is an advantage
Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Dutch and English
Comfortable working according to GMP, GLP, and EHS guidelines
Responsibilities
Perform (rapid) microbiological identifications using MaldiTOF and MicroSEQ 16S PCR
Carry out validations for microbiological testing methods
Work in compliance with GMP/GLP, EHS regulations, and standard operating procedures
Promote and support a culture of continuous improvement within the lab
Assist in maintaining lab operations, including inventory management, sample processing, waste coordination, and equipment upkeep
