Volledige vacaturetekst

A growing enterprise SaaS company serving regulated industries is seeking a Security and Compliance Engineer to join its team full-time.

The company is focused on modernizing the software development lifecycle through intelligent automation, streamlining everything from requirements engineering to deployment. With clients in sectors like finance, utilities, healthcare, and government, the organization provides reusable solutions that enable agility in highly complex and regulated environments.

You will take the lead on cloud security, technical compliance, and risk management across the organization. This role involves close collaboration with engineering and product teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle, support both internal and external audits, and drive scalable compliance and governance processes. This is a hands-on position where you’ll be involved in everything from cloud configuration and IAM, to security tooling, ISO audits, and secure architecture best practices in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal security and compliance matters
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate secure-by-design principles throughout the software lifecycle
  • Lead internal security assessments, technical reviews, and architecture evaluations
  • Manage and configure enterprise-grade security tools, such as Microsoft Defender
  • Conduct gap analyses and support remediation planning for standards including ISO 27001, ISO 9001, GDPR, and HIPAA
  • Translate regulatory requirements and security frameworks into practical, actionable steps for implementation
  • Support the implementation of IAM policies, network security measures, and secure cloud configurations—primarily in Microsoft Azure
  • Drive automation and scalability of compliance processes, with a focus on observability (minimal scripting required)
  • Partner cross-functionally with legal, product, and operations teams to align on policies and ensure effective execution
  • Work closely with the CTO and position yourself for future growth into a leadership role within the security and compliance function
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in security engineering, cloud security, and technical compliance
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and enterprise-grade security tools
  • Solid understanding of how software and infrastructure interact, with the ability to read and interpret code
  • Demonstrated experience implementing or supporting compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, or similar regulatory standards
  • In-depth knowledge of secure cloud architecture, identity and access management (IAM), and network security best practices
  • Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical engineering and operational actions
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally across teams
  • Self-motivated and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-autonomy environment
Benefits:
  • Flexible work environment that supports work-life balance
  • The chance to work with modern, cutting-edge technology and cloud architecture
  • Flat team structure that encourages autonomy, ownership, and initiative
  • A collaborative, inclusive culture that values diverse perspectives and open communication
  • Meaningful projects that drive real impact in critical and highly regulated industries
