New Product Development (NPD) is part of our R&D organization. As a team, we are responsible for successfully implementing new products from our innovation pipeline, branded and non-branded, and upgrades to our existing product portfolio. The assignments can come from our different business units that operate internationally, so there is a good dose of dynamics!

As a Project Manager NPD, you manage a (changing) multidisciplinary team consisting of colleagues from Sales, R&D, Technology, QA, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain and/or Operations, among others. You are responsible for successfully completing the NPD process, according to the agreed timeline and within the approved budget. You are the driving force behind bringing NPD projects to success and therefore play a crucial role in the further growth of Ausnutria.

What does your work look like?

• Together with the customer of the New Product Request, you determine the implementation timeline and the required budget;
• You put together a project team in consultation with the department managers. You take into account the resource availability and the priorities within the NPD project portfolio;
• You carry out the project according to the Stage Gate method and report on progress to various stakeholders, you monitor the budget, you keep an eye on the timelines and you limit project risks;
• Together with your fellow Project Managers NPD, you contribute to the various NPD meetings, and provide the organization with updates on the NPD Project Portfolio;
• Your main task is to manage the project team, but depending on your experience, you also think along on the content of the project in order to facilitate internal discussions;
• Together with the team of Project Managers, you will also work on improving the NPD process and take into account the feedback from project evaluations and the feedback from various stakeholders.

The NPD-team is an existing team of professional and dedicated project managers. Although each PM has her/his own projects, we regularly meet to share experiences and bring our process to the next level. We help each other when needed.

In the Netherlands, we work with almost 900 enthusiastic colleagues towards the same goal; delivering primarily high-quality infant formulas and children's food applications based on goat and cow milk. The products are made in our three factories in the Netherlands (Kampen, Leeuwarden, and Heerenveen) or at external manufacturing sites and sold worldwide from our own sales offices and local distributors on all continents. At our headquarters in Zwolle, 200 colleagues work and R&D is based.

• A completed education at HBO/WO level;

• You enjoy working with people from different departments and levels and you can switch well between different interests. Stakeholder management is key here;
• You move easily in an international environment; this means that both customers and stakeholders can come from all over the world, so you have to deal with many different backgrounds and cultures;
• A few years of experience in managing projects and managing multidisciplinary teams;
• Preferably you have experience with dairy or other high-quality foods and/or ingredients;
• You are result-focused, accurate and have a keen eye for quality and output;
• You have a good sense of organizational sensitivity. You know when to escalate.
