The internship

Are you passionate about sustainability and eager to make a real impact in a global procurement environment? Join us as a Sustainability Compliance Intern and help shape how we respond to the fast-evolving landscape of sustainability regulations—like CSRD, EUDR, and CSDDD—with confidence and clarity. 

At HEINEKEN, Procurement owns the Scope 3 agenda, playing a pivotal role in driving carbon footprint reporting and ensuring our supply chain aligns with our sustainability ambitions. Every year, our efforts contribute to HEINEKEN’s Annual Report, showcasing our progress and commitment to responsible business conduct. 

What you’ll do: 

• 🚀 Drive Functional Compliance: Help deliver all aspects of Procurement’s compliance with sustainability regulations—ensuring risks are addressed, mitigations are in place, and reporting is clear and well-managed. 

• 📊 Support Audit Activities: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and analyse data that supports our sustainability audits and Procurement KPIs. 

• 🔍 Work with Sustainability Data: Dive into data analysis to uncover insights and help us tell a compelling sustainability story. 

• 💡 Innovate & Engage: Research fresh, engaging, and innovative ways to improve our compliance processes, including communication and stakeholder engagement. 

• 🧪 Enhance Our Tools: Support the development of our sustainability reporting application by testing new features and providing feedback to the product owner. 

• 🤝 Collaborate Across the Business: Interact with stakeholders at our Head Office and local Operating Companies to ensure our sustainability goals align with business value. 

• 🌍 Join a Supportive Team: Be part of the Procurement Governance Team within HEINEKEN Global Procurement Enablement. You’ll be coached by experienced team members and work closely with ESG and Sustainability Compliance Managers, as well as internal support partners.

The department

At Procurement Enablement we ensure that our teams in HEINEKEN Global Procurement are able to do what they do best: develop productive relationships with our suppliers, negotiate procurement agreements and ensure our business stakeholders are able to purchase what they need. The different teams within Procurement Enablement consist of subject matter experts in the fields of Digital Transformation, Sourcing, Contract Management, Governance and Compliance and Data & Analytics. We are a diverse and supportive group of people, all eager to do our part to make HEINEKEN win. Join us, and you will find out how great Procurement Enablement truly is! 

The terms of employment

• Your starting date is 1 September 2025
• The internship is fulltime
• The duration of the internship is 6 months (in consultation with your internship supervisor)
• It is a practice-oriented internship
• You will be based in the Schipol Office
• During your internship, you have the flexibility to workfrom home/in a hybrid setup
• You will receive an internship fee of €650 gross pm based on 40 hours per week
• You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on fulltime)
• If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed

• You bring a structured, analytical mindset and are energized by solving complex challenges with clarity and purpose.  

Conditions of HEINEKEN

1. You are enrolled at an educational institution.
   1. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution, from which we receive proof of enrollment for the current academic year from you.
   2. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
2. Living in the Netherlands during internship (HEINEKEN does not facilitate housing).
