Role Description
The client is looking for an experienced Interim Legal Counsel. This senior legal role will act as General Counsel for the Benelux and Nordics region, ensuring smooth legal operations and continuity across multiple markets. This position offers the chance to work on high-impact legal matters while collaborating with internal counsel and key stakeholders during a critical transition period.

Responsibilities

Delivering expert legal advice on commercial, regulatory, compliance, and governance issues.
Managing complex and high-risk legal matters, including strategic transactions and contract negotiations.
Partnering closely with in-house legal counsel to oversee day-to-day legal workflows.
Ensuring uninterrupted legal support and business continuity throughout the sabbatical coverage.
Building strong relationships with commercial leaders and regional teams.
Aligning legal practices with the company’s global policies and provide structure in contract and negotiation processes.
Supporting leadership engagement alongside the internal legal team, particularly during the year-end period.

Requirements

Qualified lawyer, preferably with Dutch legal expertise; other EU legal backgrounds are welcome.
Extensive post-qualification legal experience, ideally in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector.
Business-oriented mindset with a practical approach to legal risk and commercial strategy.
Proven experience working in complex, international, and matrixed organizations.
