Senior Audit Manager - International Bank (Amsterdam)
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
Salary: €95,000 - €115,000 + bonus up to 20%
Working Schedule: Full-time (4 days per week negotiable)

An international financial institution with a strong presence across Europe is currently seeking a Senior Audit Manager to join its Internal Audit function, based in Amsterdam.

This role offers the chance to be part of a diverse, high-performing team that delivers assurance and insight across multiple jurisdictions and banking divisions. It's a senior position with clear visibility toward executive management and real influence on audit strategy and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements from planning to reporting, across a variety of business areas.

• Interact regularly with senior stakeholders across European branches.

• Contribute to risk assessments and audit planning activities.

• Oversee governance, risk management, and control frameworks across banking operations.

• Supervise and develop junior auditors, while ensuring audit standards are met.

• Participate in the ongoing improvement of audit methodology and best practices.

• Support broader transformation initiatives within the audit function.

Candidate Profile

• 8-10 years of relevant experience in internal audit or risk management within financial services.

• In-depth exposure to Investment Banking and/or Corporate Banking.

• Strong understanding of banking products, risks, and regulatory requirements.

• Holds relevant professional audit qualifications (e.g. RA, CIA, RE, CISA, CFA).

• Confident communicator with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

• Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch or other EU languages is advantageous.

• Comfortable working in a multicultural, international environment.

• Salary range between €95,000 and €115,000, depending on experience.
