In the role as Logistics Specialist you will be managing transportation and related logistics of goods and services to and from internal and/or external customers/suppliers. Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.

The team you will be sitting in consists of 5 logistics coordinators, 3 specialists (1 is this temporary replacement), 1 finance specialist. You will be reporting to the Logistics Team Lead and have weekly meetings.

• Monthly salary of between € 3722,- to € 4652,- (depending on experience and background).

Role & Responsibilities

• Develop and lead end-to-end logistics solutions to achieve required on-time pick up & delivery of goods. Manage Logistics Costs to meet budgets and Op Plans.
• Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
• Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
• Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
• Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.

Qualifications & Requirements

• This role requires basic experience in the Logistics & Logistics. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience). 
• 5-8 years of experience with Air- and Road Freight in Europe.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English. Dutch is a big plus.
• Experience with SAP, Salesforce & Office Suite is a must.
• Background in Life Science is a plus.
• Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
• Resistance to stress, proactive, positive- and team mindset are key qualities.
