We’re looking for an Accounts Payable employee for an international organization in the pharmaceutical industry—someone who gets energy from executing financial administrative tasks thoroughly and on time. As an Accounts Payable Employee, you’ll be responsible for the reliable, timely, and error-free processing of purchase invoices and payments. Below is a selection of your responsibilities:
- Processing and checking incoming invoices;
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns;
- Handling Intrastat declarations;
- Supporting monthly and quarterly closings;
- General administrative and financial tasks within the team.
You’ll be working for an innovative and international player in the pharmaceutical industry, based in Nijmegen. This company is dedicated to developing, producing, and distributing high-quality medicines worldwide. With several offices across the Netherlands and abroad, the company contributes daily to making healthcare more affordable for patients worldwide. You’ll join a friendly and professional team of six colleagues, led by an English-speaking Finance Manager. The team consists of finance officers, business partners, a credit controller, and a financial controller.

Your motivational letter and resume should demonstrate:
- A completed education in a financial-administrative field (at least MBO level 4 / HBO level thinking and working);
- Extensive experience with accounts payable processes;
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP;
- Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken (all internal communication is in English);
- A precise and independent working style, with strong prioritization skills;
- A proactive and hands-on mindset. You’re able to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines with ease, without losing track. You have sharp analytical skills, an open attitude, and strong interpersonal abilities, making it easy for you to connect with others and communicate your message clearly and convincingly.
Aanbod
For this position as Accounts Payable Clerk, you can expect a gross monthly salary between €3,700 and €6,000, depending on your experience. This is a permanent role, and we are truly looking for someone who wants to commit for the long term. Werkwijzer is recruiting on behalf of the client based on a recruitment & selection assignment, which means you will be employed directly by our client. In addition, a performance-based bonus scheme applies (up to 4% annually), as well as 29 vacation days and a solid pension plan in line with the latest legislation. Lastly, you’ll be working in a welcoming company environment, located in a brand-new, modern office building, where regular social events are organized.
