Senior Naval Architect - Offshore Energy (FPSO) Hoofddorp • Middle Point

Your Mission

In this senior role, you'll be at the center of the FPSO design process—from concept and basic engineering to detailed design and yard support. As a Senior Engineer, you'll guide and support a team of engineers, manage technical interfaces, and ensure all naval architecture deliverables meet client and Class requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Naval Architecture scope during FPSO concept, FEED, and conversion phases

• Perform and review hydrostatic, hydrodynamic, stability, finite element (FEM) and fatigue analyses

• Organize and manage team scope, deliverables, planning, and engineering budgets

• Ensure compliance with international design codes, Class rules, and client specifications

• Prepare, review, and finalize technical reports and calculation packages

• Liaise with clients, Class societies, shipyards, and subcontractors

• Support technical input during tenders, proposals, and subcontractor management

• Provide assistance during construction and site visits abroad 

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Naval Architecture or Offshore Engineering

• 6+ years of relevant experience in the offshore sector, preferably FPSO-related

• Demonstrated leadership experience as a Senior/ Lead Engineer

• Proficient in hydrodynamics, stability, FEM, and fatigue assessments

• Familiar with Class regulations and international offshore design standards

• Strong communication skills in English—both written and verbal

• A structured, hands-on mindset with a practical approach to complex problems
