Naval Architect / Design Engineer - Defence Projects Vlissingen • Middle Point

• Support ship design through requirements analysis, concept development, layout planning, and core calculations (stability, resistance, propulsion, weight, and balance).

• Assess new design concepts and prepare related technical reports.

• Create clear technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and presentations.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure accurate, up-to-date input in design calculations.

• Collaborate with internal teams to align technical output with project goals.

• Must hold permanent EU citizenship and a valid EU passport. Candidates with work visas or non-EU nationalities are not eligible due to project security requirements.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.

• At least three years of experience with ship design concepts and engineering practices.

• Familiar with advanced design and proposal processes, including integration of combat systems—ideally in complex naval ship projects.

• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken; Dutch is a plus.

• Must be able to pass a security screening and provide solid professional references.
