What is the role about?The trading team at Bitvavo is responsible for our market-making activities and providing liquidity on the Bitvavo crypto exchange. The team would not be able to accomplish their goals without the support of a Trading Operations Engineer who will support tasks such as monitoring the automated trading, change management as well as result reconciliation.
As a Trading Operations Engineer, you will have an exciting opportunity to make an impact on the future of a leading European retail investment platform, by working with one of our core teams.
How will you make an impact?
- Monitoring the automated trading
- Investigating operational incidents and assessing the PnL impact
- Trade and Position reconciliations
- Planning and Execution of changes - listing, delistings, hardforks, etc
- Trading result reconciliation (trade, fees)
- Settlement reconciliation
- Documenting and improving the trading processes and standard operations, through automation efforts
- Coming up with new business initiatives
- 1-2 years of work experience
- University Degree in Computer Science, Finance or similar
- An innovative mindset with a drive to reduce repetitive work through automation
- The ability to handle data efficiently (e.g. through querying languages SQL)
- Basic knowledge of Python
- A proactive, results-driven attitude
- An inquisitive mindset and strong numerical skills
- Knowledge of technologies like Looker, BigQuery, and Grafana
