Our client is seeking an experienced or soon-to-be Lead Electrical Engineer who enjoys combining leadership with hands-on involvement in challenging industrial and energy projects. This role covers the entire electrical engineering spectrum—far beyond just cable trays or control panels. You’ll be working with grounding systems, lightning protection, cable routing and calculations, control panels, power distribution systems, and voltage levels ranging from 24V to 380kV.

You’ll play an active and pivotal role in designing electrical installations across a wide range of projects, from small-scale to major industrial operations. These include low, medium, and high-voltage systems, emergency power, lighting, drives, short-circuit and load flow calculations, and more. If you're interested in branching into instrumentation and control systems (like system architecture and field instrumentation), that option is available—but not required.

In this multidisciplinary 3D engineering environment, you’ll collaborate closely with technical experts and other disciplines. You’ll translate client requirements into optimal technical designs across all project phases. Your work will include writing reports, delivering calculations, drafting diagrams and layouts, and ensuring all deliverables meet specifications and quality standards.

• At least 7 years of experience as an Electrical or E&I Engineer, preferably in an engineering consultancy environment.
• Proven experience in a Lead Engineer or technical project leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of designing and calculating electrical installations (e.g., cable sizing, short-circuit calculations, emergency power systems, lighting).
• A degree in Electrical Engineering (HBO/Bachelor level or equivalent).
• Solid communication skills in Dutch, or willingness to learn the language within a reasonable time.
• Must be living in the Netherlands
• Ability to guide teams while remaining hands-on in project execution.
• Familiarity with low, medium, and high-voltage systems.
