We are seeking a Director Business Control – Manufacturing Acids & Derivatives to join our high-performing Business Control team in Gorinchem. In this key role, you’ll oversee the financial performance of multiple manufacturing sites worldwide, partnering with manufacturing controllers, site directors, supply chain leaders, and senior management.

As a strategic financial leader, you’ll ensure robust financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and decision support — all aimed at enhancing profitability, efficiency, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted business partner to the SVP Operations Acids & Derivatives, providing actionable insights and financial leadership.

• Collaborate with Operations to drive fixed and variable cost optimization, efficiency improvements, outsourcing/insourcing decisions, and business process improvements.

• Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic scenario planning for manufacturing operations.

• Monitor and manage inventory levels, capital expenditure, and working capital.

• Lead and develop the global team of manufacturing controllers, aligning efforts with Corbion’s strategic objectives.

• Support the Senior Director Finance Integrated Supply Chain & Operations with ad hoc financial assignments and projects.

The Team

You’ll be part of the Business Control Team, serving as a finance partner for Commercial, Operations, and RD&A teams across Corbion — all with a shared focus on value creation. You report to the Senior Director Finance Integrated Supply Chain & Operations.

What You Bring

• Education: University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. RA/RC qualification (or equivalent) preferred.

• Experience: 10+ years in financial leadership roles within international manufacturing environments. Strong understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, and financial processes.

• Systems Knowledge: Proficient in SAP (S/4HANA), planning tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and dashboard/reporting development. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required.

• Competencies:

  • Strong business acumen and hands-on approach

  • Confident challenger and influencer at senior levels

  • Analytical thinker with the ability to distill complex data into clear insights

  • Skilled communicator with both financial and non-financial audiences

  • Proactive, flexible, and committed to continuous improvement

We offer a hybrid work model — typically 3 days in the office, up to 2 days from home — providing flexibility while fostering collaboration.
