Your role involves ensuring the smooth
operation of the logistic process, encompassing various areas such as supply, demand, stock, and transport. Monitoring performance of the Carriers and Warehouses with focus on efficient logistical processes, focused on costs.
As a Senior Logistics Process Specialist, you'll be the linchpin of our logistics operations. You'll ensure our goods move seamlessly from A to B, with a strong focus on efficiency and cost-effectiveness. You'll oversee the entire journey from supply, demand, inventory management, and transport, proactively identifying and resolving complex logistical challenges.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Operational Excellence: You'll ensure uninterrupted logistics execution by actively managing transport capacity, delivery priorities, and planning. You'll analyze disruptions and initiate improvement actions to maintain key performance indicators (KPIs).
Partnership & Relationship Management: You'll maintain close contact with carriers and warehouses to guarantee optimal delivery performance to our customers. You'll monitor their performance, provide feedback, and escalate issues when necessary.
Cost Control & Optimization: You'll proactively identify and implement cost-saving opportunities, such as optimizing efficiency and reducing waiting times. You'll also implement financial damage control measures to minimize disruptions.
Problem Analysis & Resolution: You'll delve deep into complex complaints and logistical activities (e.g., de-bagging, returns, customs-related matters) and ensure structured root cause analysis and preventive measures are implemented.
Cross-functional Collaboration and Coordination: You'll act as the bridge between warehouse operations, transport planners, and customer service, ensuring clear communication. You'll prepare performance dashboards and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Strategic Oversight: You'll monitor real-time order intake to identify volume trends and upcoming operational peaks, and proactively reallocate resources in alignment with internal stakeholders. You'll manage complex logistical processes across different Strategic Business Units, locations, and transport modalities.
Who we're looking for:
An experienced professional with a proven track record in logistics and supply chain management.
You're analytically strong, highly communicative, and capable of maintaining a harmonious balance between the interests of diverse stakeholders in a multicultural and multilingual environment.
Experience balancing supportive/steering activities and managing safety risks is a plus.
Functie-eisenTo thrive in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree.
- A keen interest in supply chain and logistics execution activities.
- Familiarity with SAP and knowledge of logistic principles.
- Eagerness and ability to support Sales & Distribution responsibilities.
This is a challenging role within a dynamic environment, offering diverse work and ample opportunities for your personal growth. You'll be working under a secondment agreement at SABIC, with hours ranging from 32-40 per week.

- A good salary, dependent on knowledge and work experience.
- 1 x 13th month (paid periodically pro rata) OR a quarterly bonus. The highest amount will be paid out to you at the end of the year.
