In this position, some of your daily tasks will include: 

• Oversee monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate journal entries, intercompany allocations, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations;
• Prepare and review key financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements in accordance with Local GAAP and US GAAP;
• Analyze financial trends and variances, providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making by management;
• Ensure tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions (ie: UK, Germany, and Italy), including VAT reporting and local tax filings;
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring accurate classification and posting of transactions such as payroll, billing, bank entries, and staff expenses;
• Assist with the annual budgeting process and contribute to periodic financial forecasts;
• Provide audit support by preparing documentation and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards;
• Play a key role in finance function development as the team expands and centralizes accounting operations;
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives, including automation of recurring reporting tasks.

Gevraagd

In order to succeed in this role, we ask that you have: 

• 7+ years of experience in accounting or financial control, preferably at a large international organization;
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other relevant field;
• Proactive and hard working, with the ability to work independently and within a team;
• Experience working within the European HQ of a large global organization would be a plus;
• Tech-Savvy, with the ability to learn new tools and systems; 
• Strong attention to detail and able to identify and execute process improvements;
• Fluent in English required, proficiency in Dutch and/or German strongly preferred.

Aanbod

Salary will depend on your experience but will be between 70.000 and 80.000 gross annually, including holiday allowance based on 40 hours. Hybrid working, travel allowance, 25 holidays, 100% employer-paid pension contributions, and other additional benefits will be included.
