Our client, a leading provider of maritime electrical and automation systems, is looking for a Sales Engineer to help convert complex inquiries into streamlined, cost-effective proposals. As a Sales Engineer, you play a key role in shaping customized technical solutions for the maritime world. You’ll transform customer inquiries into clearly structured proposals, balancing engineering know-how with commercial insight.

Your main tasks will include:

Translating client specifications into tailored cost calculations and quotations.
Gathering and assessing technical documentation to design optimal solutions.
Collaborating across engineering, project management, and procurement teams.
Ensuring timely and professional delivery of proposals and pricing.
Supporting the sales team in customer meetings and technical clarifications.

Functie eisen

Completed MBO or HBO degree in Electrical Engineering.
Proven experience in a technical/commercial role — preferably in the maritime or offshore sector.
Strong English communication skills; Dutch and/or German are a plus.
Proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership and make decisions.
Team-oriented and able to balance multiple priorities under deadlines.

Voorwaarden

Assistance with relocation, visa applications, housing advice, and general support.
Note on the 30% tax ruling for the first five years (for positions in the Netherlands).
At least 25 days of paid holidays (For Damen Naval: 13 additional paid holidays).
Compensation for commuting costs.
Language course compensation up to €500.
